SHEEP IN A WINTRY LANDSCAPE - Signed. So well-known for his depictions of cattle and sheep, Cooper eventually became known as "Cow Cooper." A member of the Royal Academy, Cooper often collaborated with fellow member Frederick Richard Lee, where Lee would paint the landscapes and Cooper would add the animals. Eventually he would be appointed a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order by King Edward VII, and today his work is held by the Tate Gallery and the Victoria and Albert Museum among others.
